Building a 30 Model A using a original frame pinched in back with a 4 inch channel. Looking at putting in a triangular rear suspension. Which coil overs work best with this setup? Want as smooth as ride as possible. SBC with 350 Turbo as weight. Any spring weight recommendations?

    a leaf spring . . . .

  3. Call qa-1 in Minnesota. They will need the weight of the car and other info. Mounting them straight or on a angle effects the spring. Double adjustable shocks cost more but are worth it.

You might want to take that complex answer from Pete E into consideration. He has built many fine rods in his 40-something years on this old planet ! He knows his stuff. You're welcome, Pete !

  6. I know this post is old, but I think........I know I'm going to get slammed for this, but I think coil overs look like ASS on the back of any hot rod. They look out of place and lazy, I've seen coil springs of 60's rods which is ok...but not coil overs. I know they might give a better ride, but they just look plain bad.

    Just my .002

  7. I respectfully disagree. I like the way they look under my ‘32. lol
