Thanks for the information. The part that has confused me at times is that Moore had two similar looking Wetteroth built cars. In 1941 Cliff Bergere drove one car and as you state Rose/Davis drove the other one and won the 500. The '41 winner is now in the IMS Museum. Driver Bob Harkey knew Buck and Buddy Baker well and had raced against and also driven for Buck Baker and was aware of Baker winning the NASCAR Speedway championship. I don't know the whole story but sometime in the 70s/early 80s Harkey got with Baker and traced down the 1941 winner which the IMS Museum bought and restored.
You're right Moore had 2 Wetteroth built cars, one was Burd Piston Ring sponsord and the other Noc-Out sponsored. The Burd car had parallel front springs and the Noc-Out 41 winner had a cross spring front. Here's a shot of the Burd car fresh out of the oven.
