  2. I was watching the 68 and 69 US Nationals yesterday (Smart TV is a gift from God) and man those Mopars were tough to beat in Super Stock...Ronnie Sox was one hell of a driver...

    So was this class similar to M/P in only that you had to run to he correct engine? I see the wider tires. What else did they do engine and trans wise?

  12. This was a new class in 1972. That year , it was more like a Junior Stock car ,with a solid lifter cam of any lift, and a TM1 manifold. Still had to use the 3 speed. Larry's car was typical, in that they picked up about a half second from Stock...Low 13's

    SHHH already removed the rear of the lower quarter took awhile for people to notice :rolleyes:

    An injector. It looks like an injector for some other engine adapted to the rat motor with a fabricated transition piece. I am guessing that as this was very early in the life of the big block Chevy no off the shelf manifolds were available yet.

    It’s an injector james remember that’s about 1965 or 66 where the big block Chevy was brand new it was probly a made injector kinda like my mopar injector on my afx only in reverse lol

    It’s an FE ford injection manifold on top of home made welded up runners. It was featured in a 65 or 66 hot rod magazine. There wasn’t an injection unit available at the time.
