Folks Of Interest Duane McKinny

With heavy heart I have heard news from the Bonneville 200 MPH Club that Duane McKinny has past away last Sunday. He was one of the original 49ers, those who participated at the 1949 first Booneville meet, and continued to participate for years. I met Duane in 1976 when he was partners with Bob Kehoe in the Sundowner Corvette. He was a great friend to me and many many others. He entered the club at 210+ and also 280+. I was lucky to know him.
Many in So Cal knew Duane's 32 dark blue roadster with the plate "jag bag" for the suspension.
Duane always had a smile and could drive a spinning car straight when owners could not... I will miss my friend.....JD

SAD!---- I remember when Duane became a member of LAR in the late '70's, we cruised many miles together as a group, & had many memorable experiences. He will be missed!
