I'll have to go for the 37 Terraplane grill, I guess that because I own one.

I have always had a soft spot for these Chevy PU´s, but my favorite on custom cars is this 49 Chevy, dont think it needs any introduction at all! ;)

    Hello,

Having been partial to our dad’s consistent Buick sedan purchases, we learned to like Buick grilles. From original 41 Buick fastback sedan, the 1949 giant Buick Roadmaster to the funky two toned 4 door 1953 sedan, arriving with his sporty 2 door 57 Buick Roadmaster, leading up to several Buick Riviera models, like his 1963 version.

They all had the distinct Buick grilles to add some character to the rather large family sedans.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to take photographs of several custom Buick cars. As soon as I saw those Buicks, I instantly went back in time to the era of driving around with our family of Buicks to the Baja Mexico, fishing/camping trips, going up the coast into the S.F. Bay Area and the national park areas of California.

I had to be careful, as the sight of an old convertible does something to my wife. Growing up in a hot locale of So Cal at one time and her mom’s choice of a 47 Buick convertible still lingers.

Needless to say, we could be driving around in that Candy Apple Red/Tahitian Red Buick convertible, if it were for sale.

But, as much influence as our dad had with his Buick choices over the 38 year span of buying family cars, my own choices went to the 58 Chevy Impala and the two 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery hot rods. The time period was over the 18 year span of our teenage and 20 something days as a couple.

Those are/were ones that we just cannot dismiss and the attraction was evident in each model. YRMV

Kinda like mine - 1941 Lincoln Zephyr convertible with a top chop. Built by the "Okie from Muskogee" Larry Tripp who has over 50 awards from NSRA for his builds.

grille 012.JPG Kinda partial to the grille Nick and I made for Leland Grantz' '50 Chevrolowster !! Leland was short on time when I showed up at the nursing home and held up that '54 Pontiac center piece. He had never finished the grille, but when he saw it, he said "That's it, that's exactly what it needs, a 1954 Pontiac, now go...go put it in"...... He was almost 90....
