No offense but if I am old enough to know who Don was, don't you think I knew what the ring was! I was just trying to add a little humor!
He didn't say it was illegal, he said it wasn't smart. It wasn't and isn't. Bicyclists are a real annoyance and regularly disregard stop signs and red lights and often accompany it with an attitude. They think they are a match for cars and trucks sometimes with terrible results.
Yep, I hear ya. Not illegal. Not very smart, but not illegal. It seems to me that a lot of cyclists don't have very good self preservation skills. The law doesn't necessarily keep you alive. Now back to your regularly scheduled program
Yep, they existed, and, judging by all the Quaker State panels on the house, probably one of the oil companies (not necessarily QS) credit cards.
I said it wasn't smart just that it is not legal. As a cyclist in my younger adult days, I saw many of my fellow cyclists doing the dumb stuff folks have mentioned. It not only ticked me off that the cyclists were doing those kinds of things but when law enforcement did not do much to ticket cyclists who ran stop lights/signs, rode against rather than with traffic, cut in front of traffic and such.
same here in Aussie some cyclists think they own road they do not pay registration like car owners do
