If I wanted a two door I'd start with a two door.

 

Yes, the roof skin is the same, windshield and rear window are the same, no cutting into the roof required to put 2 door sedan doors and B pillars into the 4 door sedan shell. Identical lengths and floor pan dimensions of both cars.
