not to sure weather ive asked this before ..

Im wondering if anyone has done this .. or knows of it being done?

thinking of early 50's Mopar Pick up front drums (2 x single acting slave cylinders.)

what are the chances these drums would on Ford based axle - as in up to 1948..

    Thanks Crate

Mopar Trucks generally used a single wheel cyl on fronts and duals on rears.
The Mopar cars used 2 up front and single WC in rears.
    Lockheed brake systems.

Good Question, this is something that needs to be physically tested out. I would certainly try and source the front brakes off a Chrysler New Yorker or T&C, as they are 12 inch brakes, the Windsors, Royals and Desotos are 11 inch, the Dodge and Plymouths are 10 inch.
While these brakes can be tough to initially setup, they work fantastic, you will have no difficulty stopping hard with them.
When I get home, will post pics out of the 1940s Chrysler Shop Manual, be later this evening.
