I can't get over how nice the cowl vent piece came out. That is a pain in the ass piece to build, let alone to build right.

    Nice work, -Abone.

Thanks, it took me a while, but very satisfying to get it installed. Wish I had done one on the roadster last year.

Got the driver gaps pretty good, the passenger is going to need some extra attention. It obviously popped open at some point and the hinge pillar is pretty shabby. I’m going to do the whole skin on it and sort out the hinge pillar when I have it open. The driver I think I can get away with redoing both outer and inner lower patches.

Installed the new wheel well on the driver side. I also ordered a door skin for the passenger side.

I'm another "attaboy" on that cowl vent, and all the rest is nice work also! Can't wait to see what you find in the pass door, I have a driver side sprung a little I need to fix.

Finished up the passenger quarter panel. I have my quarantine beard.

There are two dimples in the quarter panel brace on the passenger side to mount the tool box. I pressed them using a stack of washers and a piece of oak with a hole cut in it.

Started working on the drivers door...I’ve been dreading it. The old repairs were done by simply forming sheetmetal over the rusted metal and brazing it in place. There was a good 1/4 inch of bondo over that, that was removed with media blasting. I got everything fit and made the bottom 5 inches of the hinge pillar.

Got the new metal welded. I’ll have to come back and lead the seam later

Worked on fitting the deck lid...initially it wouldn’t fit and since the panel below the deck lid it the only reproduction part, I started there. The panel measured a full 1/4 inch taller than the original...uff. I was able to unfold the top edge and then fold it 1/4 inch lower. I still have to adjust the mounting on the left side to line up the body line. I also need to make some adjustments on the right side...[IMG]

Worked on the panel below the decklid today. Before I got into it I installed the decklid support. On the left side I raised the panel about 1/4 inch by cutting the mounting pad off and moving it down. On both sides the body line didn’t line up with the quarter panel. I pie cut horizontally at the bottom of the line and then again vertically from the bottom to relieve the metal.

After lunch I started on the other panels for the trunk. The original support panel has not been media blasted...I’m getting spoiled. I removed it from the below the deck lid panel. I think I will just clean up the nibbled out holes since I will need the access for tail lights
