    Photos in this thread affirm my opinion that all years up thru 32 look great with no hood, and with 33-34 it's iffy, the protruded firewall on those cars doesn't look great uncovered, but you can get away with it if you have a great looking engine. Post 34 cars should wear a hood.

    I run my '34 one year without a hood one year. It rained ever time I went to a rod run. It's had the hood top on ever since then.

    Here is a few. The last picture is right after I chopped it. The yellow one behind it was the first one I built back in 1978. Was going to paint this one yellow, but changed my mine at the last minute and went with black. Had my friend Kelsey Martin flame it for me, but after a year of hearing ( there's one of Kelsey's cars), I stripped the sides and repainted it black. Back to being "my car".
