...A pic from Hamber @Tuck's album...I posed a question as to a family connection and while that would be a neat twist this Hotrod really has my mind spinning a little...

    Anybody know of it?

Seems to have a hood top with cutouts for blowers, carbs...oh and Trophies wouldn't ya know...;)

That's how wild dreams come about...sorry you had to let it go...I hope that you still have your focus in Vintage Hotrod with a twist here and there...;)

...I believe I posted this here once before perhaps with no connection...well there was a Thread here by a Hamber @Kummok who may or may not still have it...It was his Late Father's...
He hasn't been on in years...

    The Details...Quoted...

    "32 Buick running gear
    Buick Straight 8 engine
    Packard 2bbl carbs (4)
    28 Essex frame
    Stutz front knee shocks
Body built by Dad in high school (Oakland, CA Frick HS) shop back in 30s
This is most recent photo taken mid 90s"

The engine which actually looks Photoshopped but may not be doesn't appear to be in the Vintage pic...but I think the rest is the left overs...

Did anyone here snag it...letting it go was a possible outcome gleaned in the Thread...the ole gowjob was at a ranch in Nor Cal and then it was stored at a friend's place in SoCal desert...and?

    Fingers crossed...

Stogy, I think I recognize that T with the 32 shell. Can't recall offhand who owned it but if I recall correctly ran a flathead Caddy. If it comes to me I'll let you know.

I think the T belonged to Connie Wiedell.

Stogy, Stewart is absolutely right. That's Connie Weidell's car. He was a member of the Gophers.

  21. Thanks for the reply Stogy...

I was tempted by the desire to find some chevrolet 3 windows that I would like very much ... as we already know there are not too many Chevrolet hot rods (you know termites)

Maybe I'll have some news with a 3W Chevy project in the next month. Sent from my Mi A1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

... @ratamahata at this link is all the details on the Running Steel Show-Rod the as described originating over a whim at a CocaCola Tour in 1967 taking 3 years to complete...

I'll take both those Chevy Coupes you posted over Coca Cola in a heartbeat...:D

Can you imagine seeing that Hartelt Coupe sitting on that Streetcorner...that might cause an accident...:D

Stogy, I'm not certain but that car might be in a book from the early 70s I think it was called famous custom and show cars by george barris and someone else. The hard hat hauler was on the cover and a mailtruck. I used to read it as a kid but don't have a copy of it.

I saw in search a 1973 Hotrod Show World book...but that Link I posted has the actual story and dates...the Rod by the story was finished in 1970...

I always look to the 1965 cutoff in the guidelines and these Indy wide everywhere tires were one of the reasons in making that Hotrod cutoff...there is the fine line in post 65...this Coke Rod does have vintage tentacles hence the research but I enjoy and seek closer influence to 65 and earlier...just me of course.

Rat digs up many Gems that I'd jump in turn the key and go in a heartbeat...that one though, I'll sip a pop out of it's machine but they can keep the key...;)
