  3. I own a 38, so I choose 37, because I always want what I don't have...

  5. No kidding, that looked like a decent body from the photos. I was looking for a 37, 38 coupe before I settled on my 41 p/u 25 years ago, but couldn't find one.

The 37 in my ID is for the Harley I was building when I joined the HAMB, but a '37 Chevy Coupe could find garage space here. Bob

I have had both. In my garage there is no question the 38 fits better

  12. No losers here, but I prefer the '37 because of the grille.
'37-'38 Chevy's have been a favorite of mine for some time, never have owned one..yet.

  13. 37. Reason, family connection. My mother's first car in 1946, also a coupe. Still have the photos of it.

37 for me. I think the grille and hood accents are extremely sleek. JMO

I think the '38 is better because it is a regular "car grill". The hood covers the top of the grill, which is the way a late '30's car should look. The '37 grill that goes all the way up looks more like a radiator shell, which clashes with the late '30's theme of the car.

I see someone made a reference to '35/'36 Fords. To me, the same logic applies here. The '35/'36 Fords are definitely "Art Deco" designs. The '36 grill fits the overall theme very well, while the '35 is a "throwback" to earlier radiator shells. I know a lot of folks like the older stuff better, but you really have to consider the overall theme of the styling of the automobile.

I imagine the decision was made a couple years ago.

Back in the early 80's I build a 38 Chevy coupe. During that time I had to buy up several other 37-38's for parts that were missing on mine. Nobody was repoping anything for that car. I ended up with a lot of extra parts so I started selling them at swap meets. So for me I still like the front end on the 38 over the 37
