Sitting in the weeds means it could have no frame left. Depending on the frame condition I'd say 2000 up to maybe 3500. The tear in the fender is the least of your problems.
Went and put it up in the air today in preparation to load it. Gotta dig out a rearend to throw under it, break the front drums loose and throw some wheels on it. One section of the frame is shot. Can this be saved or am I going to need to find another frame? I was thinking I could splice this section in as long as the cut line was staggered. Looking for feedback. If possible, id rather save this frame. Rot is on the right side, just where it starts to curve up over the axle. It stops almost directly above the axle centerline.
Anything can be fixed, but finding a 40 frame ( car is the same as your truck ) should not be all that hard. A lot of street rodders are putting their 40 bodies on after market frames. With the outer frame of your truck in that condition, I'm certain the the inner part is worse. The section where the kickup starts is the first place to rot anyway due to dirt and debris being trapped between the inner and outer frame members.
What joel said.....got a 1937 pull out frame with all nice stuff - running/driving flat head, new gas tank and radiator for either my 39 or 40.....the frame is 37 to 40 car and 41 on truck - good luck !
Something like a flat trailer axle is real easy to clamp under the rear. Many people have replaced frame sections. Don't let that scare you. If it's past your skill level, find a exp. person to do it. Less problems in the long run.
35 to 40 car & pickup frames (pickup to 41) are basically the same. some front cross members changes, and body mounts for the cars, thats about it. you should be able to find a good one in your part of the world, not so easy in the swamp
