Projects I think I can fix that!

Hot rod aesthetics are very important so my suggestion is decide on the rear tire size then make it fit the radius of the wheel well, visually it will look much better, I had 7.50-16s so I had to play with leaf spring count on my coupe as it got heavier when it was finished.

 

Your gas tank looks familiar. I'm enjoying your build.

 

Now I am busted! You gave me that idea. Your wood speedster is the funnest project I have seen in a long time. I like the way you do things your own unique way.

 

I think I am going to have to add a few leafs back in also. Nice car!

 

What's the story on that Studebaker hawk???? Coupe looking good

I have a 1956 Studebaker Champion? 64,000 original car except the interior. Original flat 6. runs and drives great

Lets call the seat fabric "mock up" fabric, as it is pretty ugly. I may put in different seats someday if I find some I like better, but right now this gets me a place to set so I can get into my pedals and get them right.

 

I have got my Clutch and Brake Pedals done. I have posted a before and after shot of the '57 ford truck pedals I used. It took some heating, bending welding and drilling. Everything is made from the original pedals.

 

The clutch is done. 1955 MGA slave cylinder.

 

I got some work done on the dash. Installed the ignition switch and layed out were the gauges will go.

 

Well, now you have room for the go pedal! Lol Really looks fantastic.

Never saw a metric oil pressure gauge before.

 

Doug, would it be worth swapping the hose outlet and the temp sensor? It might give a more natural "run".

Just finished reading your entire thread, don't know how I missed it. I love model a coupes and you have done a great job so far on yours. I'm glad you plowed on with this build. I like the rake either way. The engine sounds great too.

 

Just now found this thread and am now caught up. Great story and I love how it is turning out! Thanks for sharing it with us. It is definitely turning into a real cool hot rod!
