The tub is now black finally an update.

Well I didn't have much time to spend on my car during the summer but now that it's getting cold outside and life has slowed down a bit I got something done.

I sprayed it on "black friday" while my family was out shopping for me.

I will hopefully get it back on the chassis some time this week.

I know the pics suck but they're better than nothing. Enjoy.

My gas tank was built by Dekon Bakker of Salt City Special/ Throttlers fame.

The dash is a '50 Cadillac same as my motor.

What body is that?
Like the 50 Caddy theme. I've got a tub Deuce body that'll have a 324 or 371 Olds power, IHRS frame #1, 4 or 5 speed, 40 Ford Dash but with 56 Olds gauges. Keep us posted as you get closer to completion.

Naw, it never did sell. It is going up in the classifieds and on Ebay soon.

 

I got it set back on the chassis this weekend. I still have alot to do but it is very encouraging to see that it is this far.

Well I have put about 950 miles on my tub since I started driving it three weeks ago. So today I decided I should go take some pictures of it so enjoy.

 

It’s been 13 years since my tub first hit the road, and it’s time it gets some updates. First up will be getting rid of this 5” gap between my fan and radiator. I’ve had a spacer on the fan and a shroud but proportionally it has been bugging me.

So I whipped up a new crossmember so I could weld it in before trimming off the front of the frame.

And some new shock mount holes with reinforcement.
