Working on my Model A roadster pickup and was thinking of repainting it...

Was thinking a Navy Blue, Forest Green or maybe Maroon...
    Also painting the wheels black.

And if possible see what an oxblood colored seat would look like?

    Thanks in advance!

I know James D has done one of these before, but I'd like to see it taken a bit further. I would love to see this as a 2 door with the roof pushed forward slightly. (a 2 plus 2) Get rid of the door frames and fit chrome Matanga style window trims. It might need a slight chop to bring it into proportion. Oh and lowered. Thanks...... Here's my 2-door restyle. I played around with the Matranga style windows, but I couldn't get it to work with the roofline, so I went with a hardtop style.

  13. The Matranga style side windows are hard to make work. You need to have a window line that´s a constant curve and this Vauxhall has a flat spot. Are you up for remaking the gutter shape?

  14. Very roughly (since i´m supposed to be working), is this the sort of thing you were after?

    @James D

James. sorry, I did a quick riff on your depiction and wondered if the side window he was referring to was the way
the two joined on the Matranga Merc. You are correct though, in the roof line and everything else has to have
the right flow. A lot of work.

  17. I´d have thought it wouldn´t be impossible to make some new window profiles from tube. I used to have a Karmann Ghia and the side windows in those just mount onto flat sheet metal. They aren´t complicated.

I´ve come to the conclusion that those Matranga/Hirohata side windows only have the space to work on really low chops or cars with very small rear quarter windows.

Wow. You Hambers are tough. I looked for those wheels for 6 months. Can you photoshop onto my lowered Biscayne the wheels that I need?

  24. I don't think he and I know I was not talking about your wheels. This is the one pictured above....https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachments/4645829/
I think your wheels look pretty good.

Slim. the comments about wheels weren't referring to you. They were in reference to 38Nailhead's posting

You gotta have thick skin or a sense of humor to survive the Hamb.

Not offended at all. I fell in love with basketweave style wheels when I put a set of Datsun 240z wheels on my Buick Special wagon. 15400361_10211793684305457_7119576026373346162_n.jpg

  28. If you guys get a chance could do 3 pics for me, one with Cragar SS wheels, another with Keystone classics and one with Chrome Reverse, I've supplied some pics that you might be able to use. Thanks in advance, BigO.
