Customs Period correctness on a late 50's custom, do's and don'ts

    No my cars a mild custom, very old school, look. It has a chromed column, that looks like its been in there a long time.

    Period correct is tuff. Back in that time frame it was easy to get the parts and accessories. Now its tough if not ,almost impossible to find the old grills and tail lights and if you do there junk or very expensive. Thens there cheap repop China made junk, just garbage . Back in the day hit the junkyard and score some nice parts for your custom. Lots of cool accessories that could be ordered from the car mags. You have to really appreciate the patience and determination that goes into crafting a period correct car today.
