I think we are seeing a Chevy distributor cut down and modified to drive an aircraft fuel pump, with those injectors on an angle they are Algon, Hilborn and Enderle are vertical. Algon used aircraft pumps, and on this setup there is a Harman-Collins magneto driven off the front of the cam, you can just see the bottom of the coil area on the mag in the photo of the dragster. Did Chico have an early flathead magneto so he used it with an Algon front timing cover and then adapted a pump drive?

    Remember Mitt Romney
During a 1983 family vacation, Mitt Romney drove 12 hours with his dog on top of the car in a windshield-equipped carrier.

Algon used Cherry-Burrel pumps with with his own designed adjustable return. I have one for each of my GMC6 Algon injector units.

BULL SHIT! I owned it for 16 years everything was original steel. Won its class at the US Nationals 1965 built and driven by Don Noyes. Photo is the last one I took of it on its way to the west coast and a new owner.

The first photo shows Stirling Moss in the Eldorado Maserati at Monza in 1958. He ran pretty strong but went out after a long high speed slide off of the track. Ralph Ligouri qualified the car at Indianapolis the next year but wasn't fast enough.

The other photo is of Don Branson in the Iddings Auto Glass sprint car in (I think) 1962. I'm not sure of the track but it must be a dirt track since both Don and the car look dirty.

    Thanks, Rootie.
