so im building a 350sbc and am going to use a 4-71 and plan to put dual quad carbs. I was wanting to keep it period looking as in late 50s early 60s so was trying to stay away from using new Holleys(which i dont believe would fit the carb adapter anyway) or new Edelbrock carbs.

I have been looking for WCFB carbs or AFB carbs but i dont really know what im looking for as WCFB carbs dont seem to have any kind of sizing. I think a pair of Carter AFB 500s would be OK but not sure if they would still be too much? or if they would fit the adapter - i believe they would though.

I see the dual quad carbs for corvettes etc. but they cost an arm and a leg and im not prepared to pay 2k - 4k for them, i think thats crazy money.

Does anyone running a similar set up have any recommendations?

Also anyone recommend a decent cam? The engine is going into a Model A with a 5spd and a quick change if that makes any difference.

    thanks

    dual quads on a 4-71? Hmmm...how about a single 750 AFB instead?

WCFB will be around 400 each, depending on the model.

Four 97s would look right on that, if you really want it to look right.

    I have a single '50 Caddy WCFB on my 4-71 '57 283. My pick would be 4 Stromberg 97's.

I’d probably go with two AFB’s, they worked and look great on Tom McMullen’s roadster. The Weiand 2-4 plate is HTF though.

Have you run dual carbs or a blower before? May want to start with single carb first.

ive got dual 97s on my '35 roadster and a tri carb on my '35 coupe but ive never ran dual quads on anything. Haven't had a blower on anything either however one of my friend runs one and has done forever. The guy modifying my blower builds them for a living and has run them forever too so i have lots of support around.

I would try single first, get use to the blower. Then try duals. One new thing at a time. Less likely to have multiple problems to overcome.
