Hot Rods Chevy Hood Ornaments

Does anyone know if '37 and '38 (Chevrolet) hood ornaments are interchangeable?

I have a 37 car but no access to either one. I'm basically wanting something to fill the holes and don't have a preference. Any others that might fit? Not opposed to naked girls, lighted etc. Might consider making something. Whatcha got?

 

Look up I&I reproductions. They used to make those hood ornaments as well as hood center strips. They made the strips with and without holes for the hood ornament. hood ornaments as well as hood center strips.

 

You can interchange them but they won't look right. The 37 and 38 hood hinge is different.

From pictures on the I&I site they appear to have a different radius on the mounting surface.

 

I forgot about I&I haven’t been there in a while. But I remember quality and right on their products.

...I put a 38 ornament on my 37, because that's what I had,..fit fine, mite've had to redrill one mounting hole in the center strip...37 in foreground.
