I have a Pressol brand grease gun that my wife bought me about 30 years ago. Yes I still have both. Most, if not all cartridges in Australia are 450 grams. I see online that Pressol cartridges are 400 grams but no dimensions are given to see if it will fit my gun. Does anyone know the dimensions of the 400 gram grease cartridge?

Does anyone have a source for 400 gram grease cartridges in Australia if these will fit. I am a fan of Penrite products. I don't know if they are any better but I am trying hard to support Australian industry as I am Australian. My preference for all products is Australian made and owned but that often is not practical or possible.

    Thanks

    Steve

  2. Why not go back on line and contact Pressol. or their distributor for more information. ?

Check the diameter of the cartridges. Pressol may have been a standard cartridge, just underfilled.

Nick the business that has them listed are shut at the moment because of a bad flu, I think something is going around..

I have a 450 gram cartridge that is common in Australia and it is to large. 400 grams is 14 oz which appears to be a size sold in the US. Can anyone let me know the diameter of 14 oz cartridge.

    Thanks

    Steve

Thanks for the measurement. It looks like mine takes a 14oz cartridge. I have done a search and a couple of places are selling these in Australia.

Look at engineering supply places as opposed to automotive like Repco or Supercheap. I'm in NZ and tend to see the 400g cartridges in engineering situations and 450g in automotive.
