Picked this up today, not sure if it’s a cabriolet or a hacked sport coupe. Need some help on what to look for. Thanks

That's a real interesting assembly of parts. Doors look lie cut off coupe doors. Back half might be coupe or sport coupe. On the cowl are there hold down clamps or studs for the cabriloute top
    ??
Looks like some one assembled a bunch of left over parts.

It can be made into something but I suspect it will be an orphan no matter what.

Can you post a couple of more pictures of the package tray area? Was the rear top portion of the doors hacked off? Sports and Business Coupes had full steel around the door glass, Cabriolet doors are like those pictured.

Think your right, paid 1400.0 for it, came with a chrome drop axle, 36 rear axle, hyd. brakes all the way around. I have enough extra parts, that I can almost make a car out of it. Should be a fun project.

  7. Price wise you did well. It appears to be as someone stated, coupe doors, sport coupe back half. Build it as you want it, it is your car, and you can't / shouldn't try to please anyone other than yourself.

It's a Cabriolet, you can tell by the rear of door tops and the small rise on the top edge of the quarter panel.

As @woodiewagon46 said the rear quarter panel has the kick up for a folding post from the looks of the picture. Wooden door frames and bet it also has a wood subrails and that would be cabriolet. I love the cabriolets and will make a bitchen hotrod and looks good already.

I appreciate all the input, I feel better about the car, a good friend had be convinced it was a cut up coupe, nothing but yard art. This is going to be a fun project for me and my son

@CGuidotti there is a cabriolet model a club or group on the fordbarn . You maybe able to get the door post and swings to have a functioning top from the group and cool car and have fun...
