Looking to use some rear fenders that are really rotted along the inner edge where they bolt to the body. That whole part of the fender(s) is gone and the only thing to do is trim it off at or near the raised midline. The rest of the fender is pretty solid so I'd like to try to use them. Not having an English wheel or any other equipment (or the required talent) to fashion a passable inner piece I'm thinking about a simple 'flat' extension coming out from the wheel well to the peak that runs down the middle length od the fender. Not very pretty, I know, but with my limited resources it seems my only option. Has anyone done this? Anybody got some ideas? Thanks
Will try to get pics but I'm not very tech savvy. Trying to use fenders from '36 Chevy in my icon on my '35 Chevy sedan -
What part of NY are you from? I widened mine on my MG with the help of Dutch Comstock in Herkimer NY. Pat
I'm outside of Binghamton. I know a few rodders in my area who may be able to be helpful but thought I'd dip into the wealth of knowledge here on the HAMB.
