Thanks Stogy, but I have to admit there is plenty of luck involved!

I'm looking at making some patches on my roadster. I wish I had skills. :(

New splash pan had to be modified a little bit. The grill shell is dropped 1 inch and for some reason I had to widen it 3/4 inch. 20200314_123946.jpg 20200314_162036_HDR.jpg 20200314_135017.jpg 20200314_163944.jpg

Not much happening on the model a. 2 years ago I put a fitech injection system on my 40 chevy. It was an older system I got stuck with because someone changed there mind and went with a LS engine..... Well it ( fitech) turned out to be the biggest POS I've ever had. It has an edelbrock now. 20200329_144428.jpg
I thought this was a good shot. Except for the ladder.

In 1969 my wife and I totaled her '60 Porsche Convertible D on our honeymoon in Montana, She was in the hospital in Bozeman from August to December. I got a job in a gas station and a guy loaned me a '40 Chevy 4 door. It ran like a top I had to do a complete brake job on it. The toughest part of leaving Montana was giving him back the car and giving another new friend back his 30 06. I brought back a LOT of venison. Brought the wife back too, still have her!

What a cool story!! I just drove it home and everything but the speedometer is working now! It is a good feeling.... I had to put a master cylinder on it because the rear brakes were not working. That alone is a comfort.

When we came home we could not afford to fly because she was in a huge cast from above her waist all the way to her toes on her right leg and just above her left knee. It would have taken four seats for her on a plane and an ambulance crew to get her on and off of each flight. We rented a big Ford station wagon and put a mattress in the back for her. The hospital staff helped load her in Bozeman. The motel guy in Twin Falls helped load and unload here there. When we got back to Oakland my brother helped me carry my bride over the threshold. It sure took a lot of the romance out of the honeymoon. :D

Romance is overrated! Lol. 1989 We drove my first 1940 chevy to Estes Park Colorado for our honeymoon. Middle of Aug with no AC. Hell it didn't even have interior. I did swap out the 4.11 gears for 3.08 to quiet it down a bit. We are still together too! Maybe a miracle huh?

When it works it works . When it doesn't it's almost impossible to make it work. Hotrods are a lot easier to fix.

A long overdue update. The cowl was rough. Someone tried removing the firewall and messed up the sides bad. I had a rough cowl with straight sides I took apart. The "new" panels needed lower patches so I made some up. 20211224_145457.jpg
This is the left side before. 20211224_145440.jpg
Right side after. I added a curve to kick it up into the hood like a 32. 20211224_115012_HDR.jpg
    The patches before welding.
