Low-tide muddy find! What is it?

Gives me the "Willy's" to think this thing is still setting on his porch! Bump and a prod for recent pics of it or the heroic hippopotaboat!

 

Too bad this story lost the photos of the Hippo mothership!

I read this thread when I first joined the HAMB. I followed it with great interest right through to the appearance of the Hippo Paddle boat, and the actual salvage. No idea I was reading a HAMB historical moment that became a hysterical legend.

You don’t need to build the Willys, just bolt the carcass to a trailer, mount the pictures on poster board and take it to the show. You will be all day telling that story. Maybe put out an old hubcap or violin case to take up a collection for some hip waders.

 

It it definitely not a 1933-34 Willys.

Hey, guys. Sorry to have left you hanging. There has been nothing more done with the body. As they say…life gets in the way.

Between changing careers, my oldest kid starting to have kids, my middle kid going to college and my youngest kid going through high school, I have almost no time for anything.

I will promise you guys that if anything does happen with it, I will update this thread!
