Hot Rods HOW MANY OF YOU GUYS TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR SPEEDO?

I think the last time was after pulling over on the shoulder just as my DD hit 123456.7...

 

Only when getting the pics ready for the for sale ads.

 

Technically, we are talking about the odometer, not the speedometer. That might cut down on the speedo cracks...(see what I did there?)

Showing I need an OD transmission...not just a handle pulling a cable not hooked to anything...

 

Yes, I like to know how many miles to the gallon I get, so I take a picture with the gas pump receipt when I fill the tank.
Haven't gotten this one on the road yet but I still take pictures of it because it's nice to look at.

The one in my coupe says it has 180,000 something on it, but only just over 60,000 was done while it was in this car.
The odometer in my 39 says it has around 400 miles on it, but I drove it around a few months before I got the speedometer to even work.

The 1st hot rod I ever built, my wife was driving on the Interstate and I was trying to catch up on some sleep. When I woke up, we were passing everybody on the Interstate! I looked at the speedometer and it said we were doing a little over 140 mph, but later I discovered it was off by about 50 mph. Sorry, no pictures. Gene

I haven't got a speedo fetish however here's my other one, out with the old and in with the new (Movements). Amps to volts with an increase in speed, water temp and oil pressure.

 

That's an interesting SPEEDO. What's it from?

 

I don't have a speedo fetish either, I just like to know how far I go. Since I've traveled most of my life, a speedo is important to me.

I like it that you can swap another speedo in with new movements and still look factory.

 

All new VDO movements, too good to ruin that OEM look.
I need to get the 64 rectified ASAP, FE mileage isn't outstanding and it'd be nice to know how much gas is in tank once the sender and/or dash works correctly. That way I can determine how far I get on a tank of gas by looking at odometer.

 

Butt...That might bring an END to the fun...
