  4. They look perfect for a rod, and look like a pretty fresh cast? Are they something you have done yourself?
    Cheers,
    Josh

  5. I looked it up, hes very talented. I like the mesh, its clean and tidy. Im going to see what I can pick up mesh wise... may have a crack myself.
    Cheers,
    Josh

  6. Hahaha I can see what your seeing. Finned 6 or small block valve covers cut up. Could actually work if you picked them up cheap.

Robbing stainless from cookware as you suggested could give you something I suppose, I wonder if they would be too thin for asthetics?

    Cheers,
    Josh

  7. The symmetry is perfect on those holes, great to see. Always a pleasure to see modifications that have been well executed.

  9. I found these on Fleebay, was told they was casted back in the 60's by a old boy from jersey if my memory recalls correctly. They was in rough casting and had a LOT of grinding and filing to make fit. I have seen another set on a show car since getting these, should have taking a screen shot of it. I tried to go back thru emails with whom I purchased them from for the history but it got purged..

Yes I like the look of them.. Had to have them instead of a plain backing plate..

Nicely done conversion. ^^^^ Any pictures of them finished and installed?
Here's the scoops like Dumprat used, they say Briz Cool Scoop on the inside. There's a right and a left and they fit the old backing plates perfectly. Same "Briz" that used to build the ribbed early Mopar style bumpers?

Mine don't have anything cast on the inside. They might well be high school metal shop copies

There is an article in the December 1998 issue of Street Rodder titled "Beautified Braking". It says these are from Valley Restorations/Hollywood Cover-Ups 2151 Arnold Ind. Way, Concord, Ca 94520 (925) 689-1934. That was over twenty years ago, good luck.
