Boy what a GREAT thread, it certainly brings back a lot of memories. I moved to Hartford, Ct in 1963,
then back to Phila. Went to a lot of car shows. Anyway one of my favorites was Bill Nuemann's roaster, met
him at some of shows. A few years back we swapped E-mails, before he passed he sent me these pics,
the two red cars are most recent, and the other is his famous one.

  7. I am the owner of the "Old Rod " roadster. My daughter-in-laws 1954 Chevy is parked next to the roadster. My son does not own the roadster, but he was the caretaker of it for me when I lived in Connecticut. I now live in Pennsylvania, and my roadster is here with me. I am now 83 years old, and I still drive my roadster.

  10. This roadster was sold to Gene ( Lippy )Derocher (sp) and then to Gordy Gere, Then to Gordy's cousin, Frankie Bedel. Frankie passed away several years ago, and now Frankie's son has the roadster. The roadster shows up from tome to time driven by Frankie's best friend, Ronnie Noski.

  11. Doug Gilbert's roadster from Newington, Connecticut

  12. Don Gallant's roadster. It is still owned by Don who is now in his late 80's. Don doesn't drive it anymore, but his son Paul drives it now.

  13. This 1932 Ford chopped and channeled station wagon showed up at NSRA's York, Pennsylvania neet several years ago for sale in the swap meet area.

I met Don Gallant at the Dover nostalgia drags at Lebanon Valley. He has been up at that race for the past several years.

  15. My roadster again. Thanks for posting it.
Unfortunately it is now a modern street rod. It was great back then, but it is different now.

The middle pic is Sebbe's roadster. Now driven by owner Blondi? (Page 31)
    Sebastian Rubbo, an old fellow-cruser.

Here’s one I rescued recently. Still researching history but it ran at the Frederick, MD airstrip drags in the 50’s. May have had a Yblock then but not sure. Been sitting since 63-64.

Matt, I love this Coupe because it was a true street/strip car, as I believe many really were in those days. When one study's the old photograph's and 8mm footage from those times all around our country, one see's that the places that they raced were jam-packed with kids, watching and racing.

Outside of York, PA. It was owned and stowed away by the last caretaker since '63 and the owner before that I spoke with and he clued me in on the info that the guy he bought it from in the 50's raced it at the Frederick Drags. Hoping to find old photos from those races to see if I can spot the car.

According to Kustomrama it is in Maryland being restored now. I posted some pictures of it to the Woody Inspiration thread if you are interested.
