Hot Rods 4 1/2" x 16 steelies . Smallest bias ply tire

I would like to put the smallest possible bias ply tire on 16 X 4 1/2" wheels. This is for the FRONT . I know a lot of guys put 5.50-16's on and they work fine. Anyone use 5.00-5.25-16 on 4 1/2" wheels?
Would this work? Would it look bad? Pictures?

 

a 5.00x16 will work fine.

If I remember correctly the fronts on my '27 were 5:00's

 

4:50 "stones" work just fine , that's what's on my avatar.

 

Tom took this shot of my '32 at a LARS. Front tires are 5:00 x 16", rear are 7:60 x 16". Firestone bias tires. Wheels are 4" x 16 Kelsey bent spokes.

 

I used 16" space saver spare tires on my sidecar. Before that, I used a 5.00-16 bias tire from Coker.

 

4.50/4.75 are the smallest that I know of, so you have gone with the second smallest.
