Lucky 17 the little car that does it all! Bob and Julie Neville took to the track at the Leadfoot Festival yesterday and boy oh boy did they make a statement in the funky little Model A speedster which GMS Hot Rods are proud to be apart of.

*****UPDATE DUE TO COMMENTS REGARDING NO HELMETS - Bob and Julie were doing a non competitive demo run in costume which fits in with Leadfoot Festival rules. Bob was stung by a wasp which caused a lack of concentration on the narrow driveway which put the car over the ledge, he then yanked the wheel and stomped on the throttle to bring the car back up on the track. Hopefully this should clear up any doubts or assumption that people are quick to jump to thanks.*******

Taking the line a bit wide to take in some off road driving Bob says he grabbed a bunch of left hand lock to get the car back up onto the track. “Crikey!”, said Julie bless her! The sump plug ripped off at the kerb calling racing done for the weekend.

Whew?!?

In a message prior to the event I said to Bob, “have fun, be safe and keep the shiny side up!”

Well Bob you did it all!

As New Zealand is on lock down for four weeks on Wednesday GMS Hot Rods will be closed to the public during this time.

While we live onsite it’s full steam ahead with customers projects during this four week period.

We want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and business with GMS Hot Rods and in particular when Greg was off for five weeks while his burns healed.

To conclude, we wish family and friends near and far all the best as the world deals with Covid 19 - stay safe and remember that your wealth is in your health.
