Started polishing my next stainless project with a “fine” HF Roloc disk. Next is hand sanding to 1000, then I’ll engine turn it.

Cut up a piece of 22ga in to rectangles. Need to practice welding so I can get to work on some real parts repairs. Maybe do some of that this weekend. Was supposed to be out of town on a work trip, but that got canceled.

Found and fixed an OT problem I’ve been hunting all week for a customer. On to the next problem...

Trying to come up with enough parts to build a car from scratch with what is on hand is a challenge..

^^ any way to open up some of bottom wood piece to add some nylon strapping or ? to help provide a better cushioning action rather than a rigid base - -even foam will transfer the "feeel" of the road to your body

My sons rebuild of my first race car is moving quite well. With a lot of “extra” work the rear end got mounted permanently. It was pretty rigid for the street and had limited movement. It’s about 2-1/2” lower than stock in the rear and 4” lower in the front and finally back on it’s tires. Please don’t be upset by the front wheels; they were what I used in the 80’s when drag raced it.
Fuel line needs one hose and we going to prime the oil system tomorrow. The radiator still fits. 8A7C75C7-FC2F-4808-8149-626C2C1AC512.jpeg

Also, picked up a couple dropped 37-41 Ford dropped axles from my buddy Sid that now need to make their way to St. Louis and Illinois next time I head that way.

I got to thinking about an old friend, that I went with to buy a FE 428, about twenty five years ago. So I contacted him, yesterday! FE1F8275-F466-4708-B46B-39719C82CB0D.jpeg 1A8CA876-0E13-4723-893B-EB36B1AAD731.jpeg

Screw it, took out the 56 Vic to the Donut Derelicts. About 15-20 cars a few stupid ones leaving doing burnouts (or trying) all were Chevelle, Camaro, or Nova assholes. Vern had his 54 with a 409-4speed out too. D0CBD7DF-F57B-4616-BA1A-98BD4D6A96E5.jpeg FE2A5AC7-1F34-4736-8796-38D2FAC84057.jpeg

  12. G'day, Right now I am waiting for my spouse to get home from a grocery trip. I am then going to drive up north to Cavalier ND and take pictures of some of my stash that people are interested in. My dad is feeling better so I am going to visit with the folks for a bit and then head back.

Anybody need any pictures of any particular weird Chevrolet parts.

Went out into the back yard and set up a temporary work area were I could sit with my foot elevated. Port matched a set of sbc 882 heads for a buddy also blended the bowls while I was at it. The sun was shining and it was nice to be outdoors:D

I haven't done a damned thing, was going to go look at a HAMB'rs '41 Plymouth he has, but had a commitment to my Nephew the "flake" to work on his truck...9am turned to 10, I PM'ed the HAMB'r, played with my nether regions a bit, and the kid still hasn't shown up.

Well, did get two loads of laundry done. Effing kid can take it to the shop for all I care.

I sold about $250 worth of car parts.

Polished these wheels in the living room today, took them off my sunliner a few years ago and now going on my custom 500 for awhile. The steel rims on the custom 500 need blasted and repainted so I am going to use the aluminum wheels until I do the body work and paint it,I tried to sell them but everyone wanted them for almost free so they are going to be used again
