My friend from Omaha sent me a message that the governor shut down the auto show last night and the exhibitors can return at 10 AM for awards.
I have some friends that were there on Friday. I think they were planning on going Saturday during the day.
Was there yesterday afternoon 1:30-3:00. Didn't see any announcements from CHI Health Arena or ISCA that they were pulling the plug on it. Figured I'd better do it in the afternoon before the crowds came out, but that may have been a misplaced worry - there were people walking the aisles and Gene Winfield was there with a group of people chopping a Merc. Good mix of HAMB-friendly and OT rides - kept me entertained.
Strange they did away with the Rebels giving making handmade trophy`s this year. As you can see from the picture`s, the crowd was very light. But a true car buff still has got to go.
Well, it appears that Gene Winfield ain't skeered of no stinkin' virus... I hope he takes needed precautions though, we want him healthy. Thanks for posting pics - kept me entertained too!
It wasn't a rumor - they did shut it down for today. https://www.omaha.com/news/local/wo...cle_76afd1a6-fede-57db-9577-cc3c515681de.html
