^^^ I agree on the grill shell. I looked high and low for a “decent” 28/29 nickel shell for my car. An original, not a chrome new one. One with a nice clean aged finish but not all crappy looking.

I did go with a 32 headlamp bar because of the stainless wrap and slight curve and feel it’s lends itself well to a chopped highboy sedan.

Nice post @jnaki ,what did they run in their Tudor?

    Hello C,

Nice "nickel-look" grille... looking good, very original. When we saw the white, Reath Auto, Koenig, Sundin, Dosser Motors Sedan at Lions, it had an injected Chrysler. But, as you can see, the Reath Automotive sponsored sedan had an Olds Motor with updraft aircraft carbs in 1958. So, it was a well-built sedan and everything fit under the hood. The Reath Auto Group interchanged a lot of different motor combinations among the sponsored racers. All Long Beach racers that were associated with Reath Automotive was a high status thing and not to come by easily.

Here are some clips from other past thread posts:

We may have seen this version at Lions in 1958, but the photos/movies never showed the hood off to showcase the motor.
    from Dave 286ardun:

"Koenig and Sundin sedan, usually ran an injected Chrysler, this shows a blown Olds with the sidedraft carb setup that Joe Reath used on the Raker's Car Club Chrysler...Koenig and Sundin and the Rakers both had Reath sponsorship so this may a merging of two projects, one the car and one the engine. It looks like the blower is driven by a single chain."

Plus 1 on the 32 grille shells. I never could understand the attraction. Leave the rounded over bastards on the 32's.

My old 31 Model A. It was my daily driver, sun or rain, for a little over a year. I am gathering parts to build another one. 825F54CB-9C97-45C0-A23F-FEDB932C96B3.jpeg
