I fabbed up a trans cover and installed the header panel I covered. Got the wiper motor going and mirroe installed. Also got the dome light wired up and working.

Doubt anyone is interested (except maybe Ronnie! :) ) but I found these yesterday in box. Photos I took in photog class in highschool. (1985) I traced the photos onto paper for a monotone sketch look. I eventually copied this onto the cover of my denim notebook. Which I still have. I'll have to go find that to add to the collection. I'm trying to put all of this together for my son so he'll have the complete history.

Mee too Timmy!! Had it running yesterday! The acelerator pump wasn't working so I have to take carb off and give it going through.

Well, it started. It ran for a while, although a little rough. We had a flaot that was stck so took the top of the carb off and cleaned out the bowls and jets and fixed the float. When we tried starting it again it ran for about a minute and stopped. Turned out the pump wasn't working so i I'll have to tear it all the way down and give it a good cleaning and maybe a new pump. the old ethenal gas does wonders on this stuff!

Other than starting it, the only thing I got done was the door trim tops. Didn't really have the $$ for some repops so i took some bent sheetmeatal i had and made some. Better than the step railing that was there before.

Not much to report. I did get it running last week but wouldn't idle. Turns out the little ball under the squirters is missing. Not sure how that happened but new one on the way. Plus I switched manifolds from the last time I got the engine going and this one is leaking water from the rear corner so out it came and back with the old. I did get some more panels done.

Well I have been working on the interior. Not really something I would wish for but with limited funds you do what you gotta do! When I got the car out of storage the first time in 05 I had a bench seat recovered and the doors done. When I redid the car the door panel no longer fit and the old holes from the screws showed so i had to redo them. i did the door panels back the way they were in the 70's i would have done it in black but since the seat was white i stayed with it. Took me forever to find some buttons! (I can't find the original ones)

Originally the rear glass was put in with an RV gasket. I thought this time I would put it in the original way but wasn't sure how to do it. I don't have an original frame to mount it or the money folks are asking for one. The repops are fiberglass so that was out. So I had new glass cut and put the rubber on it and made a rear panel to hold it in place. I kind of over id it with screws so it looks like shit but it works great!

I really struggled on how to do the rear corner pieces. I finally saw an upholstery site where they talked about using ABS Sheet to mold shapes so i cut out a piece and heated it and rolled it over my leg and covered it. Worked like a charm!!

Car looks awesome. Interior work turned out really good, you are doing a great job. I'm in the same boat as you, I can't afford to have mine done so you are giving me inspiration.

well history was made today! After 4.5 years she finally moved on her own. I had been battling some valve train issues but she’s sounding great now. Just need to do a little more to the brakes.
