My neighbor had one when I was a kid. Never got used to the look. Always thought it a 60 starliner designed by somebody on drugs. Or one dipped in alum for a year
I would love to have one of those! I picture a small, light possibly modern (sorry) mill with a manual trans. Upgrade the brakes, tweak the suspension, and roll it!!
Sure, but isn't a 289 or 302 about the same size? Actually, I like the 260s also - as in the Falcon and Comet "sprints" of the 60s.
Cool Car! But when posting it on here. The hoodlums are grabbing the torches and wrenchs . We're see'n this! lol This isn't my art work.
One of these was in the old car section at U-Pick-Parts in Sun Valley, CA - pretty rough shape, but they kept it there for a long time before they crushed it. It was left-hand drive, too.
They are called Consul Capris, the sedan was called a consul Classic and had a 375 badge on it. The badges were the same worldwide.
Here’s mine, bought it from the original owner in 1987 for $550. It was sold brand new in Orlando, Florida.
It's called a Consul Capri everywhere, the Consul Classic is the two and four door sedan version with the backwards sloping rear glass.
I like it alot! It would make a great mild custom, slam it and put some chrome steelies and pinners on it, and some custom paint on the roof. leave it alone besides that. very neat looking car, the top is fantastic!
