I'm ready to purchase a radiator for my 28 Model A sedan. Mild rebuilt 350 with 350 trans but I'm planning on running a Permacool frame rail tranny cooler and not running lines to the radiator. I have it narrowed down to Be cool, Walker or Brassworks. Any recommendations to pick a certain brand over another?

  2. Walker Used em for over 30 years and never had a problem.

I suggest running trans line to the rad, this helps to warm up the trans fluid.

  4. Brand wise if I was buying new I would buy either a Walker or a Harrison. No real reason other then I am familiar with them and they make a good radiator.

Brassworks sure are pretty, and I've read lots of good stuff about them. But all I've ever used (and my whole family of car builders as well) is Walker.

  6. Been using a Walker in my old beater for 31 years now, no problems.

Walker Radiators are like Franks Hot Sauce, I put them in everything! HRP

I have used 3 Superior Rads in Clemens, Mi. No issues. Good price.

Looks like a lot of you use Walker so I'll go with them. Is the regular Cobra series good for a stock 350 or is it worth the extra money to get the Z series which they say is for big blocks/Hi perf?.

I'm running a Brassworks in my '39 p/u. No issues. A buddy has a Walker in his '30 AV8 and loves it. Seems to me you can't go wrong with either. May come down to where you are located and which is cheaper to ship.

  10. I've had Brassworks in 2 cars, and Walker in one. The Walker gave me nothing but problems. Gave it away, and replaced it with Brassworks 13 years ago. End of radiator problems.
