    I'll say.
I found it in VHS at a local movie rental store in 1995.
The woman said you can buy it because nobody is renting it.
So, $15 and I still have it,
    Mick

  12. Let me start by saying, the Willys gasser is my favorite car to ever roll down the highway! That being said, The Pro-street, Streetrod Willys is my most hated car, lol Seeing a Willys Gasser makes my heart flutter. Reninds me of going to Lions as a kid. KiwiKevs Willys just almost made me cry. Such an awesome car. His buddys Bad News Willys is amazing too. I probably won't ever have the time to build one, but if one shows up that I can offord, I'm on it, like a bum on a sandwich! haha. LOVE your car Mick....

  13. Mick, Are you the guy from Facebook who gave me a bunch of shit for saying a Willys nose should never be level or nose down? hahaha Cause that pic in your avatar looks familiar...

    Hi Bob, no, not me.
I'm not on Facebook, I spend enough time just doing e-mails.
Glad you like the Gassers as I do.
My memories are from Half Moon Bay Drags and Fremont, up here in Northern Ca.
Happy you like my car too, thanks Bob,
    Mick

I've got some drag racing buddies that bleed Ford Blue.
I like all of the big three so really doesn't matter to me; Chevy, Mopar and Ford in any order.
I measured the diameter of the tail pipes on my 72 Chevy pickup and went to a local machine shop.
Asked them what size Ford connecting rod would fit.
They gave me two 302 Ford connecting rods, I made some brackets and installed rubber bushings in the small hole.
They can't get over it, too d-mn funny, got 'em!

I drove the coupe to a local upholstery shop this morning.
They're going to do the interior in black tuck-n-roll with black carpet.
Black headliner with black tuck-n-roll package tray.
He'll give me the estimate Monday then I'll to wait a couple of months to have it done.
    Can't wait, Mick

Burger run yesterday, some friends met here at the house then we all cruised over to a restaurant
in Concord, Ca. Always a kick talking about cars.
    Something to do on a Sunday...pictures out of order of course. Burger run Feb 16 2020 023.JPG Burger run Feb 16 2020 001.JPG Burger run Feb 16 2020 002.JPG Burger run Feb 16 2020 011.JPG Burger run Feb 16 2020 012.JPG Burger run Feb 16 2020 014.JPG Burger run Feb 16 2020 016.JPG

I'm use to swimming in the ocean in SF [not any more] but the first time we went to Point Pleasant NJ
I couldn't believe how warm the east coast ocean water was, like a bath tub.
We went yearly for a while, my in-laws live there,

    Small stuff...
because my engine is set back so much, my firewall is set back as well.
Unable to use a stock [metal] door stop the wife came up with idea to use
the seat belts I removed from her 34 [I recently installed 3" Simpson belts in her car].
So I went to a local upholstery shop and for a mere $20 they stitched them up for me.
I installed them the next day; came out nice/works well.
One of a few things I want to get done before the car goes in for upholstery,

The wife drove her 34 to our Friday Night Gathering last night, she took our dog Isky.
I followed in my 30 pickup.
    She did good!
A steel 40 Willys pulled in!
Turns out it was Robert, the nephew of the late Mark Andermar, owner of the Half Moon Bay Bakery.
He now has the car and will be joining us on Fridays, attached,

I took some shots of the blue coupe [pictures above] when we were at Hot August Nights in Reno
last year. Dave W owns it, even fired it up for me, mechanical fuel injection!
