  1. Say nice things about Detroit ....

  2. Looking forward to seeing the significant hot rods display at the World of Wheels in Chicago this weekend.

  4. ...............Bill, I apologize for not seeing you and saying hello. It was even more crowded and busy downstairs than upstairs and I completely missed you there. I know that Clark has been thrashing hard on Billy's '32 and hopefully it can be there next year........Don.

  5. The Singlefinger display was very cool. Loved it.

  7. Wow....well I drove to Chicago yesterday and it was beautiful..anyone heading west or southwest had a nice haul home..I passed Troy Trepanior on the way

  8. No worries Don,
It was a zoo on saturday for sure. (And even late friday was busy)
Now that Detroit is over the plan is to get Billy car done for Jalopyrama (I believe it has a spot inside already). The pressure is off now so no need to rush and risk messing something up. Billy ended up with a trophy for best Competition car and a Hop Up top 25 selection, so it was a great weekend all around...

  15. One final impression I have about AR.
We drove the trailer in and set up the car in the basement then went over to the hotel.
When I came back I entered upstairs and did a long loop upstairs, taking pictures and looking at the cars.
I walked to the back of the hall, went through the door to the escalator to go to the basement and about halfway down the escalator the smell (and the "vibe") changed. It went from a show prep, tire bright, wax smell to a Gas/Grease/Oil smell...when that smell (and the sights)hit me, it immediately reminded me of my dad and grandads shops when I was growing up. It literally smelled like home, and brought back a bunch of great memories.
Hard to put into words, but there it is....

GM Ren Center lobby had a revolving display of Corvettes, but mostly too new for here.

If I had been there as I'm sure many others like me, I would have been standing there in the same spot for hours !
