I also was following the coupe build and it was my only connection to Rich. He was an amazing craftsman, and was quite humble about it in his postings.

My condolences to the OP and to Rich's family.

  6. I was sorry to read this. I followed his build, and noted in one or two of his posts, that he was having health issues, and they didn't sound good. My condolences to his family and his friends.

I didn't know Rich, and after reading this post, I looked up his threads and read them. I can see what a talent he had, and I liked his sometimes wry sense of humor on his posts. He looks like a man who made the world around him a little bit better. I'm sure his son and family will keep his legacy alive. RIP Rich.

Man this is hard news. As has been said multiple times already he was a superb craftsman and a gentleman to boot. I was subscribed to his build thread for his Model A and looked forward to his posts - he did amazing work.

To his family and friends - please accept my deepest, heartfelt condolences at your loss. I grieve with you as do many others. I will lift you in prayer. Godspeed Rich, I hope I get to see you on the other side.

  24. We see familiar names get this kind of post and the sadness is real. Every once in awhile it's a dude like Rich who's about my age and we had a connection aside from the HAMB. Somehow this one hits a bit closer. Maybe because we swapped ideas and each benefitted from the thinking of the other. His attention to detail was striking, and his ability to execute on that a wonder. Rest now bud, the struggles have ended...……..

  29. I just had a conversation with Rich’s son, it was nice hear about him from another perspective. According to his son he was quite the Father and was loved and appreciated by his family, I had suspected the same from positive things he had said about them.
