WOW... all these years I thought Cali Bill was a stanch stovebolt guy, never knew he went to the DARK side! I have his 'gray book' from the same time period, lots of good Chevy anf GMC six info, including a section on Buick 8's! The book begins with dyno testing a 216 - bored out to 232". They were surprised that with STOCK equipmet, the engine didn't reach the factory's rated 90 HP, but only pulled 75 on Howard Johansen's dyno. Howard showed them his results testing stock 100 HP Fords - that they produced LESS than the Chevys... I found that rather amusing!
I spoke with Bill Fisher at Bonneville a few times. Little known fact. He told me he hated the California Bill name, At the time he was in Arizona. Running a 200 mph 12 Port GMC powered Stude at the time
when I was 14 or so, I bought a flathead ford book by Floyd Clymer. That's what hat rodders read instead of shakspeer. I learned a lot from books.

Great book, very cool, at one time I was looking for it. There were exams, and I just had work on this book https://au.edubirdie.com/help-with-nursing-assignments but unfortunately I didn’t find her back then. And when I already received nursing assignment help I found it on the Internet, and read it for general development
Meeks was a long time employee of Vic Edelbrock's. In the '90s he retired out in Canyon Lake near Lake Elsinore, Ca. My aunt and uncle lived right around the block and through them I got to meet Meeks and hang out in his garage a few times. Super nice guy.
If Bill Fisher's book is the flathead bible then I built mine using the apocrypha by Joe Abbin. Not canonical evidently but relevant to the blower congregation.
Factoid: Bill Fisher and his wife also started HP Publications. Real money poured in when they produced the Crock Pot Cookbook.
If you search around, there are a few other online vendors that have these still. I found one at a UK bookseller named Blackwell's. Looks like Amazon and MAC's have copies still too.
I just found one in a box of childhood stuff. Must have belonged to my dad since I was born in 77 Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
