This was my last full service station I had closing it in 1993. It had been change to BP by then

The second photo pretty much shows how my drive to work was today.

 

Absolutely one of my all time favorite vintage photos. Looking at this image really makes you think of just how complicated life has become since then.

 

Top is small but there is a large underground cellar for storage.

Amen brother Amen. I wish I could go back 50 years to when I was twenty again and even then I don't think I would change much of how I lived.

 

Looks like it's not all completely gone. The base for the pole that held the GULF sign is still there at the corner of the lot. The current owner probably curses it every time he has to mow around it.

Wyandotte...got family from 14th to 22nd Street..isn’t there a house near the High School with an old Gas station in from of it?

 

Don't know, I grew up in Trenton. Finding those photos on Wyandotte Historical Society site.
