VINTAGE SHOTS FROM DAYS GONE BY! (Part 2)

I have a picture that I took of that Buick wagon parked in front of one of the casinos in Reno Nevada in about 1985...
I assume it's the same car, probably not any others done like that???

The Austin pickup was owned by Warren Goodall, an acquaintance of mine. I shipped a 1932 Ford two door sedan to him several years ago.

 

OK ... here's the real and true story of this 1956 image, which has been all over the Internet ... story backed up by my friend Gail Frey who grew up with these guys in Pasadena, CA,where I grew up.

 

According to some sources this car is the ex-Fike Plumbing sprinter formerly driven by Parnelli Jones. Personally, I don't know if that's true or not. Either way I believe the car in the photo ended up in Australia and is still there today.

Yeah, there's been a lot of controversy weather it really was the old Fike car or not. I don't know either.
FWIW the other day I posted this shot of Dick Atkins at Hanford in the #98 car. This is supposed to be the old Fike car too before it became the S.O.W. car, though I don't know if it's true.
