Yep havent posted in a very very long time, I was busy with getting into the USAF, which is honestly probably a wise choice in the long run. But yeah Im on there too think now that you mention it- its been awhile but I do kinda recognize that old green coronet too.

WOW, that "Hay Burner" 4 door 55 is a CANADIAN, Model 150, 4 door Sedan; the USA versions did not have any side trim. Basically, the Canadian version side trim was like that of our 55, Model 210 Wagons, either 2 or 4 door. Wonder why they did that? I personally think it looks better, and adds a little class to a rather boring look for a baseline model, 55 Chevrolet. I have seen several photos of 2 door Canadian Model 150's, but this is the first 4 door. Canada got it right, at least better than the USA in this case. The Peace Arch at Blaine, Wa, at the USA/Canadian border, says, "Children of a Common Mother", and we are. My best friend for life is a Canadian by birth, my favorite musician/singer a Canadian by birth also, although he is going to become a US citizen after almost 50 years in this country. I have three flags that hang in my shop/garage; the USA flag, a Canadian flag, and a Confederate flag. They all hold special meanings to me, but for different reasons than some may think. Just felt like saying that.

Ha ha thats awesome but sadly they stationed me in minot north dakota in the middle of winter- i hate the cold, oh well just gotta make sure the heat works in my bbm w150

It 'might have something to do with differentiating it from our bottom of the line Pontiac, the Pathfinder. Or maybe us Canadians just like bling....

 

I love the 53 Olds. ..my buddy had one very similar. He inherited it when his parents bought a new 56 98 4-door hardtop. It was 2-tone green. He proceeded to lower it all around, nosed and decked it, shaved rear door handles, 56 Starfires, sweet sounding Continentals and painted it "Midnite Blue"....always wanted to duplicate it cause it was a beauty.
