Swade is the red one after it became a street rod. It was in my area of NY just a town away the guy that owned it sold it to his brother in Staten Island and it was caught in the big storm they had (Sandy I think) I had a newspaper article on it but can't find it now.

Deuces I think that is the very first one, I had it as a teenager and at the time it was pretty hard to build compared to AMT. I bought one new from a model store (remember them) maybe 35 yrs. ago it is still in box.

These guys are racers, not posers. Don't like the car, go up and tell these boys when you see them at a race. You won't.

1934 coupe I think this is the coupe your referring too? Sandy suppose to be a Eastern Automotive Coupe after it was restored after Hurricane Sandy. However I know that other Eastern Auto EasternAutomotiveWillys2.jpg streetrod.jpg 38.JPG parts were used on other coupes as well

Yes that is true, in fact I think I posted that picture with the guy standing there. That is the original Eastern car, the guy who owned it lived by me here in Dutchess county. I saw the car as he was re-doing it. He sold the nose to someone and maybe even the doors. There were stories going around (all BS) that some people had the car but all they had was parts. The guy in Staten Island is the brother of the guy that I knew here.

  15. No, my dad bought the Hasse Bros car from Jim Hasse. My uncle (Roger Brandow) built his car after my dad sold the Hasse car. It's Willys Works body #3.

  18. Yep. The tubbed one is my uncle's car. He still has it. The red one in all 3 pictures is Frankie Calabro's car, the car you now own. The picture at the track was before Frankie owned it. It wasn't a big name car and from what I was told only bracket raced on Long Island. Both cars are from Suffolk County on Long Island. I have no clue what Dutchess County is.

As an aside, the doors on my uncle's car in the pictures are the old Eastern Auto doors as I said before. No longer with the gold paint and lettering.
