I really love the 1935-1936 Cabriolets and have been tempted to try my hand at piecing one together. I'm curious if the front doors of a Phaeton are the came length as the Cabriolets.
I don't know specifics, but I'd bet the cabriolet doors are about 6 inches longer than roadster and phaeton doors.
I think the difference between the two styles is in the rear quarter panels. Looks like the extra space behind the front seat of a club is achieved by extending the tub opening.
I don’t own any 35 stuff, but plenty of Model A stuff including a 28 Pheaton and 29 Cabriolet. And the Cabriolet definitely has longer doors. Cabriolets normal have the same length as five window coupes. The 35 pictured has even longer doors.
Hey "chev34ute", Don't think I've ever seen a '35 Cabriolet with suicide doors. Was that something Ford built just for the Australian market or it a one of kind?
That car has '34 style fenders, door handles and the horns look like '34s too... w/s to cowl top treatment... hmmmm.
