https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_B_engine Google is your friend... you can also do a search for the A engines, Hemi's and etc.
Yep....pretty sure it's a 400 B-Motor intake....that's the carb they ran.....should be plenty of numbers on it - also a date code stamp on it - post those...numbers is how you find stuff out......for some - A would be small and B would be big or bigger......books are your friend........
29..... part number is from around 1971 I think, and the big clue that it's a B, not RB, is that it's a 2bbl carb. They put 4bbls on the big motors. My guess is 400
Chrysler V8 engines you had the early HEMI and poly (A) engine. Then came the wedge engine 350,361,383,and 400 low deck (B) engine. The the (RB) engine raised deck 383,413,426,and 440. The the A engine was replaced by the LA engine 273, 318, 340, and 360. You also have a GEN 2 HEMI 426 and now the GEN 3 HEMI.
That is a Holley model 2210. Also used on quite a few International truck V8s. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
That the upgraded of that carburetor, you can tell by the air breather stud bridge. The early models didn't have this and the top of the carburetor would warp like a boomerang from tightening the air breather wing nut to tight.
Not so sure that's a Holley......the big two barrel Mopar built carb was on the 360 -A motor and 400 -B motor.....looks like what I have on mine from the factory........
The carb shown is a Holley, the square corners on the float bowl give it away. The only other carb on a Mopar B motor was a Carter, and it had a rounded float bowl. The Carter big block carb was much bigger then the Carter carb used on the Mopar small blocks. 70-71 was the change from the Carters to the Holleys. Gene
