Discussion in 'The Antiquated' started by Ryan, Jun 17, 2019.

  1. Lowe as in Studebaker "Lowe boy" designed by Raymond Loewy.
All in good humor, as I believe your comment was.

First photo shows the Central Excavating dirt car at Indianapolis in 1964. Cliff Griffith was the driver and while he ran halfway decent during Practice the car was too far out of date. IIRC, the car had a left side external fuel tank to help with weight distribution on a paved oval.

And could that be Stirling Moss on the racing type riding mower in the second photo?

    Thanks, Rootie.

It is Moss, back in the 60s, at Brands Hatch, they put on goofy stunts for the drivers to participate in. Here's G. Hill racing a bathtub.

I think maybe someone is reading the title wrong...it's "Vintage shots of days gone by" (part 2) ........
Not "Vintage Snatch Shots Of Days Gone By"(part 2)
Not that Im against that sort of thing ...its just kind of a brain overload...not used too seeing that many at one time on this thread maybe....?
I know that there's the Linda Vaughn thread and the trophy girl thread...but is there a "Traditional Pin-up Girl" thread"?

If the girlie shots are still there note the misspelling of Betty Brosmer's name.
