Technical What year is this GM 6 cylinder air cleaner assembly?

    It's a dry element Chevy filter not an oil bath. Late 40-50 I think. I would be interested in it. Shoot me a PM on what you want.

  4. That’s the stock air cleaner on my 1950 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck with the mighty 216 engine.

  7. Like others have said, it's the dry option filter for a Chevy truck in the 50's. They repo them and both the new ones and used ones are kinda pricey. I have a few on cars (even a Ford).

    Had one like that in a ‘42 Chevy PU. FWIW it had a steel core radiator too. Still have the air cleaner somewhere around here.

  9. 50-51 and older 216 truck filter as has been stated.

    repoped now, worth some cake if it’s complete, not rotted etc.

    The originals are slightly different then the new ones.

    guys like em when they do multi carb intakes I’m there in lines.

    seen decent to good ones go for 50-100 bucks up here, but that’s with our maple syrup smelling Monopoly money !
