  1. Last time I saw it was a year or 2 back. It's all black primer with a few spots of that cool green paint.

He got rear ended really hard outside a fairgrounds show somewhere. Fixed the car but sprayed it in black primer and left the green as flames from the front. It was a clever way to blend thr repair without a repaint.
It has been that way for 10-15 years.

IMG_20200409_0004.jpg Hoods are suppose to be shut on Kustoms. It messes with the flow of the car. IMG_20200409_0003.jpg

Liked this 60`s style build. Sadly it was updated to a modern build(purple) with big wheels. Can someone bump the 82 Des Moines thread along with the 87 show as well. IMG_20200601_0002.jpg

Here is a 51 Vicky with a straight 6 out of a Chevy. Called Little Town Flirt. He had Barbie dolls displayed around it. Look closely at the package tray. You never criticize any body or their car. This was Ray and Myrna Bozart`s car. Before the Buick that won the Harry Bradley Award. . He bought another Vicky a few (3 or 4) years ago. I know that guy! When I first moved to Joplin (1996) he was always at the cruises. As far as I know he still has the car, but I haven't spoken to him for a couple years. Give me a second and I will post some photos. It's a 4-door that he turned into a roadster. (Lift-off fiberglass top.)

Ah, dang it, I do not have the photos anymore! I photographed his car in 1996 or '97 for an article I was working know at the time and a year or two ago I sent all the prints from back then to Rikster.
Still have the slides, but that doesn't do much good.
Who'da thought I'd suddenly have a use for them after all these years?

cool ... look at the lettering on the deck lid... always strikes me as funny when people misspell the word fifties by writing "fiftys"

    It’s properly pronounced “Fiddy”.

  25. I wonder what ever happened to that little Chev. The last I heard, someone saw it after I sold it. It had a Tasmanian Devil on the trunk and Woody Woodpeckers on the front fenders.o_O

I remember my Dad telling me the story of your Chevy after you sold it. His buddy Jim Korte is the one who bought it and had the Tasmanian Devil painted on the truck, apparently he had that put on there after a long day of drinking and regretted it the next day!

  30. Yes, he introduced himself as BIG JIM. HAHAHA! I also hear he put narrow white walls on it too. IMG_20211217_0009.jpg on it.
