Thanks! My Grandfather bought a red '65 when they were new. His car is long gone, but I built this in his memory. Not sure if he would run wheelie bars, but I'd like to think it would make him smile- hehe. The car is sitting right now while I work on the wife's '40 Ford, but it's not going anywhere!

Thanks! Boy...that brings back some memories! I have three cars that will be with me 'til I'm gone...my '64 Galaxie (first car), the '65, and my dad's '64 Falcon. I'm sentimental that way ;).

Maybe one day I'll talk the wife into driving the '65...for now she's good with the John Deere...hehehe

  10. To much time on the John Deere will bring her and the car right to the weeds.Consider it safety parked.

  11. I dig the daisy wheels as that is what I want for my Ranchero. However not often you see them on Fords.

  13. Seeing this Fairlane thread brings back the memories of buying a nice Black 63 with a red panel
Fairlane in 1989. I bought it for parts since a hurricane Named Hugo dropped a big tree on the
roof totally destroying it. I bought it for the 8 inch rear end to use in a hot rod I was building. The man that Pulled it from under was going to get the remains. I took the rear end out & the
side moulding was so good that I took it also, thinking it would look nice on a custom. That brings us to today when I remembered that moulding in the attic of my garage. Still there, unused & dusty after 30 long years. They never made it to a custom car or back on a 63 Fairlane. They are still straight ,divided into to a right & left with a crispy length of masking
tape. I think I will wipe them off & see if I can find them a real home & purpose of my keeping
them so long. After I take a picture you may see them on the Hamb or FORD BARN in the
near future. Was kinda loss but not forgotten . Jerry Drye from N.C.

  14. Thanks for the compliments Elcohaulic! We just won an AACA National 1st. Junior at the Hershey makeup show in Gettysburg with it. The car came from Texas and the frame is in great shape. It is my tribute to the Optional Super Stock class ran in 1961.

Long gone now, but this was my daily in the early 2000s. The "Shrimp Boat" was even in a deleted scene of BIG FISH (shown on set) FB_IMG_1634506559781.jpeg
